Applauding our Volunteers

The Board of Directors of Norwegian Elkhound Rescue/Referral, Inc. receives help from many volunteers who give their time and energy througout the year. Since we cover a large area, this is very important to us. Without these volunteers we could not continue our efforts to find homes for Elkhounds in need. Our volunteers provide foster care, transport, and assessments, as well as making personal and telephone contact with shelters, rescues, and people who need to place their Elkhounds. Volunteers maintain our website, provide technical advice and expertise to this computer age, assist with our forms and paperwork, and do mailings of informational brochures. Volunteers also help set up displays and staff our booth at events, make merchandise to sell at the booth and bring their good will ambassador Elkhounds to meet the public.
